Set in the Bannau Bycheiniog National Park at the foot of the Black Mountains, the historic Coleg Trefeca is the ideal option for your stay in Mid Wales, whether that is for a well-earned break, a conference, training or retreat.

Dating back to 1752, Coleg Trefeca is a Grade II* Listed Building and was the home of the early Calvinistic Methodist Leader, Howell Harris.
​
It was built by a Christian community made up of artisans who shared their faith and lives together, it has a profound spiritual history.
Over the years it has been a place of worship, work, education, retreat and refuge. Today Coleg Trefeca is still a mix of those things. It offers good conference facilities, together with self catering or catered options. We welcome you to make it your own.
Your Day Conference
The Black Mountains and historic surroundings provide the perfect setting for that special conference you’ve been planning. An ideal venue for small residential or day conferences Trefeca also has all the video conferencing capabilities you need for a hybrid event. Each room comes with full HD projection.
Our in-house catering has a reputation for excellence and will provide breakfasts, lunches and evening meals that are sure to enhance the conference experience. We are dedicated to excellence in our customer care and will be on hand to help with any requests you may have.

Your Training
Your training is key to the success of your organisation. We know how important it is that you can deliver it just the way you want. So we will make sure that everything is just as you need it to be so that your focus can be on getting the most out of your training event. Your rooms will be set up just as you need them to be and the AV and projection will be ready and waiting for you.
Those attending virtually will have a seamless experience and our team will be on hand to help with any requests you may have. And, just to ensure that everyone stays alert and engaged, filter coffee and a selection of teas will be provided.

Your Retreat
Trefeca has been a place for spiritual reflection and growth since 1752. Whether the purpose of your retreat is to unwind, improve your wellbeing, or spiritual refreshment and renewal, Trefeca’s history and tranquil surroundings make it the ideal destination. You can spend time wandering the grounds, taking in the walled garden, going for contemplative walks through the peaceful countryside, or meditating in one of the many quiet spaces within the historic building.​ Your food can be provided by our on-site kitchen, and is guaranteed to be excellent.
